Her name is Ariana
Rosado and she’s from East Chicago, IN.
She always thought it
would be cool to be a dancer, however she had a bit of a different dance
journey than most. She didn’t start taking dance seriously until she went
to college. She played sports and acted in high school and wanted to be a
broadcast journalist. But, once she got to college she double majored in mass
communication and business marketing and tried out for the college dance team.
It was then that her focus shifted to dance as she fell more and more in love
with performing.
She started getting into personal training after she began competing in NPC competitions. She loves being able to work with clients and see them transform. She hopefully will continue to spread knowledge and help people build confidence and strength mentally and physically.
Her first big audition
was for Beyonce on Oprah’s last airing of her show on ABC. She and her team didn’t have to have any
specific dance routine prepared but during the competition there was a small
freestyle section. It was after booking that gig that she knew she wanted to
continue dance and audition for an NBA team.
When she got the position
on the NBA team they started having scheduled practices about 2 times a week.
Yet, of course to be great at anything there must be constant practice. So, she
does a lot of outside training to make sure she can perform at her absolute
best.
Her family was very excited
for her when they found out that she was selected to be one of the dancers’ for
an NBA team. They saw a lot of her training and preparation that went into her
getting ready for the auditions. She worked hard and they were happy to
see that all her hard work and determination paid off. Their continual
support is always what keeps her going. No matter what new ventures she
picks up, they are always by her side and are her biggest supporters.
The most eventful game
was when she was performing and mid performance the other dancers broke out
into a separate routine. She didn’t know about it but it was done so that her boyfriend
at the time could propose to her. They aren’t together anymore but the memory
will always be something she holds near and dear to her heart as many people
came together to make the experience special for me.
There isn’t much
motivation needed to keep dancing for the NBA. It is an amazing experience so
every year I am excited to see what the new season brings. I’ve gotten the
chance to perform with Artists throughout halftime performances, travel to
places like Canada, China, and Taiwan, and go to NBA All- Star games. It’s
been an incredible opportunity.
Hobbies and Fun Questions
She doesn’t have much free time with 3 jobs and side gigs that she frequently picks up. But when she does get time she enjoys working out, trying new restaurants and traveling to new places.
If she could be a
superhero her superpower would be to travel through time. To go back and forth
through time and see how history has changed and meet people she otherwise
would never get a chance to learn from.
