So, I finally got to see this movie. When it first came out I was like "I have to see it!" But after watching it I would say that you really aren't missing much. The action was great, but the story line (of course) was played out. Where have we seen this before? Oh yeah. Will Smith in Independence day. Which I have been watching over and over this summer. Just because I really like it. Will Smith is a great actor by the way. But that's neither here nor there.
I just think the fight scenes were unrealistic. Especially since the aliens had these mega, super, high tech guns that could shoot lasers faster than the soldiers could actually get their guns loaded and ready to go. There is no way that anyone could have really survived something like that.
I don't even think that the aliens were given much credit anyway. I wanted to see them up close. I wanted to know more about them. Were they just mindless drones or did they have families and friends just like us? Etc.
The other thing is, what is Ne-yo doing in a movie like that. I'm pretty sure I saw Ne-yo in this movie. Um... No. I like Ne-yo better as a singer. Much better.
All in all this movie kind of bored me. Would I watch it again? Probably not.
