A Great Date =)

On Saturday October 29 2011, I had a date. I was surprised by how early and excited he was to meet me. He arrived on time. I wasn't exactly ready. So he had to wait a bit downstairs. When he finally did see me. I saw his eyes light up. It was a rather good feeling to know that he approved of my physical appearance. I approved of his too.

Many people say that looks don't count, but anyone that tells themselves that is really lying. Looks, may not count for a lot (depending on the person) but if you are not attracted to someone physically even in the slightest way it may not work out that well.

Anyway, first we went to a movie. We were really early. We ended up going to the movie right when it opened up. After, we went to eat at this really fancy pizza in we randomly found lol It looked like it had just been built. We didn't stay there too long because we both were pretty tired from all the laughing and chuckling before and during the movie. So, we went back to hang out at the house. Then later we got hungry and decided that we wanted to cook.

So, we went to walmart to see what we wanted to make for dinner. But, instead of cooking we opted to get Chinese food.

This date was different than the first because he was a perfect gentleman. He opened all the doors. He paid for everything without making jokes that would allude to him being uneasy about money. He didn't constantly talk about sex. He didn't force himself on me. He was confident but he was reserved. I didn't feel as if I needed to ready my armor and shield around him. He didn't project his masculinity, so he could show everyone "who was boss." He held my hand without a fuss. He was polite and patient the entire time. He listened when I spoke. He asked me questions and I asked him questions. There was never any awkward moments when neither one of us knew what to say nor where we couldn't find anything to say.
The whole concept of going on a date(s), is to see if you are compatible with someone enough to be in a relationship with them. But sometimes you just know when you and another person are not going to work out. This could be due to their personality. This could be due to your position in life.

The afterward:

So, far he seems to be like a nice young man. The two things that he does that I find odd (but they aren't complete deal breakers) are: he pops his knuckles and cracks his neck. He does this randomly. It is almost as if he doesn't notice that he does it. But, the communication is open. He answers all my questions. He has called when he said that he would. He speaks in a calm tone. He is assertive. He is protective. He is confident. He is funny. But, most of all he cares, which anyone that knows me, knows that is a major YES in my book. He attends church and loves his mother (Another YES!). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works out. I'm really hoping that it does.
