She is from a musically inclined family. Her uncle was the late John Whitehead. He was known for his hit single “Ain't No Stopping Us Now” and her older sister sings. She would always want to write and try to sing so she could be like her big sister. As she became an adult and experienced different life lessons she began to write about life. She found she wasn’t good with singing so she focused more of her delivery on her rap skills. A few Artists' she loved as a kid who inspired her in her music career are: Aaliyah, Missy Elliot, and Lauren Hill.
She writes her own music and as of now she would say she has written a good 100 songs, some of which she hasn't even recorded yet. It's the creation of music that lead to her first stage performance which was placed on broad street with a band playing behind her. She remembers she was nervous but was able to keep her composure and get through the show.
K-Dubbs' biggest supporters are her family, especially her daughter. She knows her songs when they come on and loves to see her perform. The audience that K-Dubb attracts is pretty diverse. She definitely believes her versatility brings in an assorted crowd especially because of her distinct sound and because of the little "swagg" she has going for herself.
In her life she was given the advice to basically stay true to who she is as an Artist, to try to not let the industry change her. When she knows that she has a performance coming up she usually rehearses twice a week until show time.
She shares that the one thing she would change in her life is her bank account digits lol. She just wants her family to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. During that time she also adds that in five years she sees herself on tour and of course investing into things that would keep food on her table.
