Creative Vision: "EP Parallel Dreams"

Keiontae Alexander aka Keysoul is a versatile Artist from Benton Harbor Michigan. He considers himself to be an MC and Lyricist because he pushes himself to raise the bar but he also makes sure he still maintains the "MC" role to entertain the audience because to him that's a true artist. 

His latest EP is called "Parallel Dreams." 

He was inspired to create it with the concept of him starting out pretty much with a dollar and a dream.Yet, now he is staying focused and carrying out that dream and goal. He is keeping a straightforward path like a parallel line because he can see himself from where he came from to where he is going.  

He writes all of his own music. There are some collaboration ideas in the works which he has had in the past on previous songs. But nothing finalized on this project just yet, but it will be soon. 

The "struggle" motivated him to start making music and writing songs. He needed something to help him get through those difficult times while he was trying to change his life. The well known: 2 PAC was a big part of his musical inspiration because a lot of what he was rapping about was the struggle. But also ways to improve ones life and rise above the situations. The other Artists that helped in his creative development were Biggie Smalls, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne, Eminem, because they introduced the creativity to him of creating rap music. He listen to them and he was hooked!

His favorite song is kind of hard to say but it would have to be the upcoming song he recently got completely done called "Motive." He chose that song as an Artist because it shows his growth the best, represents his message clearly and the production is on point. It really is something that he is proud of and he knows people are going to love it!

So far since He is starting out He hasn't done any concerts only a few performances but he will have some set up soon. He shares his memory of his first performance and in it he learned a lot about his sound and how certain people received it.

If he could work with any major popular current Artist he would choose J-Cole. Why? Well, because his mentor is a legend of the rap game. So, whatever he is missing as an Artist he believes that knowledge can be shared through gaining the experience from performing with J-Cole. 

What makes him stand out from every other Artist is the way he writes and approaches his music and pretty much his story. He doesn't consider himself the average Rap Artist. He is different because he's from the hood but he raps in a different actual story. He approaches his music in a much more lyrical soulful artistry way yet can still be diverse while representing himself as a person. 

The best advice somebody gave him is to stay true to himself and never give up no matter what, he still takes heed to that even now.

What Is In His Future Plans?

He is working on getting his EP "Parallel Dreams" done and releasing it very soon. His future in music is going to be tours, a lot more performances, and getting his name across more cities, states, and even countries. Lastly he wants to hold a position in the music game where he can do what he loves which is to maintain and grow his career while becoming the best Artist he can be.
