LVITTO: THE RED WORD SPEAKER

I'm not sure when the idea of "Good Quality and the concept of: TRUTH came back into existence but I'm very certain that once I heard his music that Truth and GOOD QUALITY were back with an amplified excellence and elevated passion!

Successful Quotes to Remember

    "Be YOURSELF Speak YOUR truth

No one and do you better than YOU."

"I don’t follow the wave I make the wave."

LVitto

He is from Durham, NC aka the “Bull City.” He’s an Artist, Supreme Lyricist, MC hybrid, Investor and CEO of a full-service entertainment company called Family Bizness. He considers himself the “Red Word” speaker, as he speaks truth similar to the way the words of Jesus words were highlighted in the Bible.

His grandfather used to sing and play instruments for his church. Yet, the gift of creative art has always been passed down from his father’s side of the family. Lvittos' passion for music was conceived at age 10 when he first saw the “Victory” music video by Biggie Smalls. It was his first music video that he’s ever seen with such a cinematic visual, not to mention, in his opinion Biggie delivered a captivating performance lyrically. The entire roll-out compelled him to make music.

Now, as a Creative Mind or Artist we pull our inspirations from different experiences in life, thoughts and reflections. So, our creativity can come from pretty much anywhere; from artwork with artistic influences from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and then of course inspiration from family, the weather, the news, energy from other people and then naturally from: life. In his opinion, "life is the most influential component" that ignites his drive, passion, and creativity!

BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE

It’s safe to say that the 90s music era became his BIGGEST inspiration highlighting some the most lyrically diverse and entertaining Artists’ in the music game such as: Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Fabolous, and Lloyd Banks. Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Common, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and many others...

(#MemoriesShared)

One time, he saved his money and purchased a handheld tape recorder which he took everywhere. He and his best friend use to record in the bathroom treating it as their “studio.” Yet, over time, his skills advanced and he began battling in his neighborhood well on into his high school years.

His nickname was “Los”, that’s short for his name, Carlos. But, that name quickly changed to “Los Vegas” because he was the youngest kid in cyphers with young adults and he still managed to steal the spotlight each time! Of course, with increased popularity and his advanced delivery and wordplay, the older guys in the neighborhood never wanted to invite him go to their studio.

He shares: “I can still remember hearing them playing their music down the street and me saying to myself, “I’m way better than them. Fast forward to now, I’ve recorded two critically acclaimed projects, have music streaming online and the radio. I also have a well-established company that provides management and opportunities for rising artists both locally and beyond!”

Name of His Current Album Entitled:

SOON

The inspiration for this album started with these reflections: “In life, people work hard to achieve the ultimate goal of success; however, some are never 100% confident that they will succeed. In 2019, I believed that the work I have put in throughout the years was starting to be recognized and respected, and the music I was creating at the time was reinventing... So, he collaborated with a few NC greats and made classics with them all. The sound of the music amplified success and it felt like a victory lap so he called it “SOON.”

He's participated in several performance that his company has thrown. But, his most memorable show was his companys’ first event at Pinhook in downtown Durham, NC. A concert series called “The Pinnacle” was created to showcase Durham’s top Artists of multiple genres. The highlight of the event: They packed the venue on a Thursday night for their FIRST EVENT!

FUTURE OF THE MUSIC

In accomplishing his music goals he holds a “Phenomenal roster of Artists within Family Bizness: Mally Evana, Ethan Taylor, Blessed Wins and Kronoz Time. But with his most recent album he collaborated with Artists such as: Swife, Shame, Jooselor, Chyna Vonne, Fess, 3am, Quentin Rashad, Tiyane Clarke and that’s just to name a few.

As most are aware with any levels of success there will be certain challenges as LVITTO reflects with sincerity:

"I’m a genuine straightforward person; however, in this industry, not everyone is in it for your best interest. I had to recognize that fact and learn to navigate around the vultures of the industry."

The music that he’s creating now speaks to his current position mentally, spiritually, and as an Intelligent Black Man in America. He goes on to share that “the music he is currently working on is some of the best he has ever created.  The LIGHTS, CAMERAS, and some incredible visuals will be coming out very soon! Also, he plans on reaching out to the youth so that they can grow with music. He hopes to guide them in a direction of entrepreneurship and ownership!

Artist: Sitch Shares ("Be Unapologetically You")

"The best advice in life I think I've gotten is to Be Unapologetically You."

"Sometimes you just have to put your self-criticism aside and just put the work out..."

Wise Words from A Young Visionary..."Authenticity is an important factor in true success to me and as an artist, I believe in making music that has truth to it... even if the stories or situations in each song aren't non-fictional at least the emotion and energy in each work should be real. That's how  you connect with an audience beyond the beat."

"FOR ART specifically, I received really great advice to stop nitpicking every work I make and just put things out. So often, we scrutinize every second of work we finish to the point where we don't share which is the reason we made the art in the first place.

VIBE FACTS: He would love to peform with Beyonce and Nicki Minaj and Normani! He believes their energies would work well together!

Conscious themes and lyrics still exist with hip hop and rap artist: Sitch, from Fayetteville NC. He’s an Artist who definitely puts a lot of effort into lyricism. His music may not always be instant club bangers (lol) but he consistently tries to write music with lyrical substance.

At 8 years old he got baptized and then later was in the church choir and he's been singing ever since . His mom's side of the family are all musical (hence the church choir). The Minister of Music at the church he grew up in, Mr. Russell McAllister, fostered the gifts he saw in all the kids and adults that were in the choir. He was Sitch's first inspiration to really trust God with his gift. As he started really pursuing music, he looked up to Artists like: Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna...and several different other Artists that stood out to him as powerful in the music industry.

He’s currently finishing up a project called "LaJane Doe". The project includes songs about situations such as “trying to get the girl, finding the right person, the relationships you left but couldn't let go of, etc. It’s a realistic base because everyone's familiar with the concept of "Jane Doe." He wanted to spice up the anonymity and make it the subject of the EP because so many times these situations don't apply to one particular person or experience.

He writes all of my own music yet there's only one song he co-wrote with a close friend of his and of course featured artists write their own verses. He also sometimes gets inspiration by talking with friends and colleagues about their stories and experiences. SO, on this project, the song "DUNCH Date" (DUNCH = dinner + lunch, like "linner" but flipped) features fellow independent Artist HAiKV a good friend of his.

Many Artists have at least one favorite song on their album and that song for him is called: "Pluto." Yes! Pluto is a ballad from LaJane Doe about a guy who wants to explore a relationship with a person. But he has to face and overcome his inner struggles and apprehensions. Yet, he's honestly afraid to go for it because he's unsure of what will happen. Happens to everyone, right?

Well the idea of single life and loneliness being traded for the more lively, active life of companionship is paralleled to Pluto and Neptune. Pluto is that image of solitude, coldness, independence, etc. But, Neptune represents water and oceans, always ebbing and flowing, teaming with life. He adds "It's real deep, y'all. lol!"

Concerts & Careers and More

He started performing his own music at Packapalooza, hosted by his Alma Mater NC State, in 2015. He continued to perform at Packapalooza a few years in a row. He also shared his talent at a few benefit concerts, AfroPack and at two RAW Artist Showcases
one in Raleigh and the other more recently in Atlanta, GA.

His most memorable performance is probably Packapalooza 2016. Why? Because he had a 15-minute set and so many things went wrong in that 15 minutes! Imagine as an Artist your mic dies during your first song? Then it took half the song for the sound guy to get a new one, on top of that there was this weird audio malfunction that came up from the end of one song through the next one... It was very interesting, shares Sitch. But that didn't stop him did it? Nope! Not even a little!

So with all the experience he has gained thus far, what is Next! He is currently pushing his "LaJane Doe" project! Also well as he plans to produce more visual content. As he wraps up his current project he's still estatic about performing more often, doing more interviews, networking and making more music! So stay tuned!

Creative Vision: "EP Parallel Dreams"

Keiontae Alexander aka Keysoul is a versatile Artist from Benton Harbor Michigan. He considers himself to be an MC and Lyricist because he pushes himself to raise the bar but he also makes sure he still maintains the "MC" role to entertain the audience because to him that's a true artist.

Raise Your Hand If You Want to Eat!

When I graduated from a four year private college, I thought that I was well on my way to living the "American Dream." I spent much of my time during high school prepping for the ACTS, SATS, keeping my grades up and staying up countless hours writing competitive essays with the hope of winning scholarship money! Yet, when I finally got to college my eyes grew wide with anticipation for the future! I was thrilled. I MADE IT! I am in COLLEGE. I had my nose up to the world, as if to say "LOOK AT ME! I'm getting my four year degree and I'm going to be SOMEBODY!"

What I discovered during those four years was that I was really great at following rules, writing essays and meeting deadlines. I learned how to communicate in a variety of social situations from dating to depression. There was no topic off limits except how to think for myself. How to believe in myself that I could do and be anything.

When I got out into the real world it took almost two years to find a solid job and even when I finally found one it was only a temp to hire position. (Oh, let's not forget the whack in the skull with the college debit lol) The system set me up to fail. I had that oh, so grand "piece of paper" but, then I lacked experience. Also, I graduated in a class when the economy was unstable and there weren't that many jobs. This didn't seem to bother many of my college friends because they graduated returning home to their childhood bedroom, with all their stuff still in tack and with at least one working parent/guardian who could help them in life when they needed it.

I returned "home" to more of my stuff being pushed in storage and sleeping on a couch, because there was no room made for me. I guess they thought that I would graduate, immediately get a full time, great paying job and get my own place. Unfortunately that didn't happen and I instantly felt the weight of burden grip my shoulders; "how on earth am I suppose to make it out in the world? I spent four years getting a piece of paper that I can't even use because I don't have any experience..." So, in other words..having a "degree" looks great on paper but not in an interview when they ask you "How much experience do you have in this field?"

How can you gain experience in any field, if you are never given a chance?

Eh, I don't use the fact that I don't have any parents as a crutch not give my absolute best, but I do use it to remind people that having parental support should be seen as blessing, not an expectation. I will also say, bless my mothers' heart (may her soul rest in peace) for working so hard to put money aside to see her baby attend college. Maybe that was her dying wish, and maybe with receiving that "piece of paper" I was able to put a smile on her face as she watched me walk across the stage from Heaven. I don't really know but...

My advice to anyone currently in school is to get as much experience in your field as possible. If you have to volunteer, do an internship (etc) just do whatever it takes to gain that experience. I heavily stress that because we are entering into a time where pretty soon even the Bachelors degree will have lost it's luster, and jobs will require you to know more, have more experience, work harder and longer hours but still for the same or less pay. Most Colleges are created to teach you to follow directions, but not how be a BOSS, A LEADER, A SUPERVISOR, A MANAGER nor how to guide someone else in those directions.

I know people who never attended college, making six figures because they started their own businesses. They believed in themselves, had the support of family and friends long enough to help them bring their vision to life and guess what?

They are some of the most creative and talented individuals that I know. I'm not saying that college is bad. I love to learn, so of course those who are book smart would most likely be expected to do well in that realm. But what I am saying, is that there are other options. You can still be just as successful with or without that "piece of paper."
