The Inspiration. The Hope: Mr. Everything

The idea and hope behind “Inspiration” is definitely needed during these difficult and trying times; so where would one look for that inspiration? (You may be wondering silently… )Well, I know a Man and his name is Roosevelt Conyers but his ring name is "Mr. Everything" Victor Andrews.

As a child, before he found wrestling he dabbled in track for awhile but once he became more disciplined and focused he discovered his true passion for and within professional wrestling. Wrestling? Yes! You read that correctly: 

W-R-E-S-T-L-I-N-G 

His eyes as a child grew wide eyed and full of wonder as his biggest inspiration and motivation: The Undertaker

stomped onto the scene with full confidence ready to twist and turn the arms and legs of his his next opponent(s). The noise! The cheers from the audience and fans aligned with the hard dark atmosphere of his character made for one bad ass moment that will never leave the hearts of true wrestling fans!  

Mr. Everything has always admired The Undertaker and still does to this day. He admires the way he performs and his whole presence throughout his 30 year career has impressed him a great deal!

 

Mr. Everything still remains a humble guy even though he is knows he is the best of the best. So he chuckles when asked how many matches has he had so far but then replies: “I gotta throw a ball park figure of close to 2,000 matches in my 11 year career all over the US.” He goes on to shared that just about every match is memorable in their own way but at the very top of his list would have to be the tag match he had on WWE NXT against Heavy Machinery.

In order to be as successful as he is in the wrestling world he has to have some support and that support comes from his family. His mother, naturally loves and encourages his passion for wrestling! She tells him all the time to keep pushing forward and never let anyone stop him from getting where he wants to be (And all your fans, followers... agree! Keep going you got this!)

 

Now, when you have a desire to accomplish a goal, sometimes you have to make sacrifices. The two things he didn’t know before he started taking wrestling seriously was #1: the amount of time it would take him away from his family. #2: the long hours on the road and constant traveling it takes to be successful. Those two things alone keep him away from home a lot. As an added bonus he also wasn't aware he’d love wrestling as much as he does nor did know he would be given the opportunities he’s received from it so far. 

HE is not only a wrestler but he is also an exceptional Father. 

So, as a wrestler he as to be coachable, open to suggestions and criticism. Yet, as a father he has to be available, flexible, open to change, as well as being able to teach his son and learn as he goes. 

So, I'm getting some pretty awesome vibes and I'm totally feeling like he has a bright and promising future, what about you? Oh by the way his major goal and ultimate plan is to utilize his connections to get a tryout with a major company so he can get signed! 

He is determined to make it happen this year! Of course, right now due to Covid restrictions keeping wrestling events very limited he’s been working on some acting and modeling projects too. 

He’s also got a couple of writing projects and a TV series he’s working on that's due to be shown soon that will be done and released by the summer which is all very exciting and we can’t wait to see what he brings us next!

Thor Angelico is currently living in Nevada but was born in Rochester, NY. He's been writing poetry for 21 years and considers himself to be more of a Lyricist.

He’s always had a passion for music! He grew up listening to all kinds of rock and heavy metal. His love for music grew from first hearing: Linkin Park. At the time He didn't really know what rap was until then and hearing them opened a whole new world for him!

In sharing his creativity he wanted to make music that had a bigger message collectively than just individual songs, so when you go through and listen to the whole album: Stepping Stones, it will tell a vivid story. He writes all his own music and he’s had some features he’s done for people, as well as he’s had other artists on his songs too.

Although he likes all of his songs, his most favorite single he created is called: Through the Forest because it captivates and tells a VIVID story full of twists about a metaphoric Spiritual Journey that is going on in his mind. 

He’s only done a handful of small shows up to this point. Yet, his most memorable stage performance was opening up for Statik G and Haystak last year. He will always remember that opportunity because it motivated and propelled him into a whole new excitement for music. He is more than happy to get booked for more live shows and performances. But he really wants to make a living off of his streams. That's his main focus!

There is always at least a handful of main stream well known Celebrities that inspire other Artists to create and the Artist that motivates Thor Angelico to create his music is the: Rap Artist and Lyricist: NF. https://www.nfrealmusic.com He has listened to his music more than anyone lately. He likes the fact that NF has a very similar message to his and is a voice for those who are voiceless. 

He believes that's why his music is so popular.

The ability to stand out from other Artists is very important. The life that he’s lived could be no one else's and he’s overcome a lot of mental health problems without being on medications. So there is room for him to speak on his experiences and how possible it is to beat these things as depression and anxiety etc. He’s not perfect but his progress speaks for itself. Yet, still he wouldn't want to tell us where he was 5 years ago compared to now.

There is so much more greatness for this Artist. He’s focusing mainly on continuing to build his fan base. He believes that the future holds endless possibilities. Many people tell him how unique and inspiring his messages are and he feels like he’s starting to make an actual impact. Music is his life, he’ll never stop.

R.O. Hutch: The Show EP Out now!

Stay true to yourself and leave it all on the mic. 

Many Artists start off with a vigor and power but they have to work at it, yet the music has always been second nature to R.O. Hutch! Raleigh stand up! Make some noise for one of our own Hutch aka: R.O Hutch! (Put some respect on that name!) His ability to speak on complex topics and lessons makes his music more relatable to the common person!  The rap, poetry, songs, and writing music is a way calm the chaos in the life lessons he learns and provides opportunity for him to connect with larger audiences! 

He considers himself to be a unique blend of both MC and Lyricist. He takes pride in his ability to control a crowd as an Emcee, but he knows without a doubt he’s definitely a lyricist too. The name of his current album is called: The Show EP. He was inspired to create this album because of the need to SHOW why he feels he’s the top of the brass in terms of his talent and ability as an artist. 

He writes all his own music but he’s not against brainstorming ideas with other Creatives or having choruses done by other artists. Oh yeah! like that one time he worked with one other Artist on this EP, her name is Egypt. She actually did some writing on a record called: (On & On). Check it out! It's fire!

His passion for writing songs came with making music the need to express himself. He was inspired by both his father and his older cousin: Black Jeruz. Now, he’s performed at many different venues where some crowds were larger than others but he most remembers performing for a large crowd that actually were fans of music, so his music although new, was received with warm regards and acceptance. 

If he could perform with any Artist he would perform with Charlotte NC’s own DaBaby. He admires the energy he brings to all his stage shows. He believes that he could learn a lot from a Creative Mind and Brilliant entertainer and Rap Artist act such as DaBaby.

There is so much to learn about this Artist! This was only a teaser to all the excellence he brings to the table. So, one EP is not enough. He is releasing more music! His plan is to release an EP every 3-4 months and also release visuals to all songs on these projects.

He first began writing poetry in high school. Then later he went on to write plays. A major influence in his life was one by the name of Dick Gregory. A veteran in his field who came to his school and gave him notes on his writing. He once told Wallace that he had "great potential" and not to give up.

Handmade Fashions By Elegant Evenings

Michelle Ragland is the owner and founder of the company Elegant Evenings Boutique. She has been in business for four years. In conversation she reflects on when she was a little girl and how she use to dress her dolls up and have "fashion shows" and from there, at the age of nine she discovered fashion was her passion.  


The first design she did was a dress that her cousin wore to a formal event. She showed it to one of her seamstresses that she currently works with; she was so proud of herself, and excited because her cousin looked absolutely gorgeous.

The person who inspired her to start her brand was Monif C, and God. She always prayed and listened to what God was telling her before she took a leap into anything. Her brand caters to all types of audience from bridal, elegant events, pageants, kids, and couture clothing. Her latest fall fashion style are designs with a lot of orange and browns incorporated in her designs. She has attended 20 shows since her brand has been out.

I asked if there were any major setbacks and, yes there where some major setbacks. One of her major setbacks' was trying to get her brand out to the world and while not having enough family and close friends believe in her vision. It was only her mom and herself financing her vision and the cost of getting her brand out to the world was really expensive. But, with the help of God and the determination of herself and her mother, together they made Elegant Evenings come to life. 

During her time as a Fashion Designer, the best advice she was given was: "You must crawl before you walk. She uses that advice to inspire other models and during her selection process. She does have a method of choosing models. She loves to chose models who are passionate and serious about their career. She knows with those models they will be loyal, and will make her designs look more beautiful. She also uses models that are given to her. But, she prefers to do casting calls, and speak with the models.

If she could design for any supermodel it would be a mixture of these amazing models: Kimora Lee Simmons, Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, and Roshumba Williams. She sees these ladies as powerful and independent women. And to represent power If she could do a photo shoot anywhere in the world she would do the shoot in Africa.

She would love to thank everyone who has believed in her and her brand. She would love to thank her mom Josephine Brodie, her son Javon, her auntie and assistant Beatrice Gill, best friend Tracy Andrews, and Antoinne Duane Williams for the amazing networking and shoes they have done together.
