SoFree Wisdom...

was born in Landstuhl, Germany because her parents were in the army. They moved to Cary, NC when she was two. Her mother said she started singing as soon as she could make noise. Shortly after she started writing poetry when she was 8 years old. Then one day she started singing the lyrics and realized she could write song too. She has been performing since 5th grade. She also has produced music, videos, and voice-overs for cartoons and radio stations.

Her first stage performance was a solo in the 5th grade. It was a song called "Rockin' Down the Chimney" and her class backed her up. They had to audition for the part. They were selected and performed with band accompaniment at the Cary Mall. Her mom has it on video. SoFree Shares: "You can hear her as she stands up to address the crowd with "YEP. THAT'S MY KID......THAT'S MY KID!" She laughs remembering her mother in that moment. 

Music is apart of her soul and she writes all of her own. She can't even tell you how many songs she has written. The catalog is long but she hasn't released a lot of her music to the public.

Her family and friends are her biggest supporters! Her target audience is confusing at times but she is very appreciative of all of her fans! When she looks at the statistics on her websites and when she looks out into the crowds, she has noticed it always goes from young to much older on most of them. She aims to create music for everyone and she has always been able to rock with any type of crowd her entire life.

Life can bring many obstacles especially in the music and entertainment business. But she shares that the most challenging thing is really trying to balance her career with her family life. She is a wife and mother of two beautiful girls. Somehow it always works out great but there are crazy moments sometimes!

Some great advice that she has been given since she started in music has been: 

"Be you and don't change!" A lot of people still tell her that to this day. It is very easy to get caught up in the demands of the industry and what society tends to like at the time. There were times she would bum herself out and not want to do music because she couldn't make material that sounded like what was on the radio. But when she stayed true to who she was and made music from her heart, the people felt that! So now she always tells people to be themselves and put it in their music, just like she was told.

In five years she sees herself smashing more of her goals and making more of them come true. Also, she does voice overs for cartoons so within 5 years she plans to be an industry go-to for big animated productions on Pixar, Disney, Cartoon network and more! She also sees herself completing a one world tour with a major artist and gearing up for her own. She is very optimistic so she just knows she has to keep pushing!
