LVITTO: THE RED WORD SPEAKER

I'm not sure when the idea of "Good Quality and the concept of: TRUTH came back into existence but I'm very certain that once I heard his music that Truth and GOOD QUALITY were back with an amplified excellence and elevated passion!

Successful Quotes to Remember

    "Be YOURSELF Speak YOUR truth

No one and do you better than YOU."

"I don’t follow the wave I make the wave."

LVitto

He is from Durham, NC aka the “Bull City.” He’s an Artist, Supreme Lyricist, MC hybrid, Investor and CEO of a full-service entertainment company called Family Bizness. He considers himself the “Red Word” speaker, as he speaks truth similar to the way the words of Jesus words were highlighted in the Bible.

His grandfather used to sing and play instruments for his church. Yet, the gift of creative art has always been passed down from his father’s side of the family. Lvittos' passion for music was conceived at age 10 when he first saw the “Victory” music video by Biggie Smalls. It was his first music video that he’s ever seen with such a cinematic visual, not to mention, in his opinion Biggie delivered a captivating performance lyrically. The entire roll-out compelled him to make music.

Now, as a Creative Mind or Artist we pull our inspirations from different experiences in life, thoughts and reflections. So, our creativity can come from pretty much anywhere; from artwork with artistic influences from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, and then of course inspiration from family, the weather, the news, energy from other people and then naturally from: life. In his opinion, "life is the most influential component" that ignites his drive, passion, and creativity!

BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE

It’s safe to say that the 90s music era became his BIGGEST inspiration highlighting some the most lyrically diverse and entertaining Artists’ in the music game such as: Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Fabolous, and Lloyd Banks. Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Common, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and many others...

(#MemoriesShared)

One time, he saved his money and purchased a handheld tape recorder which he took everywhere. He and his best friend use to record in the bathroom treating it as their “studio.” Yet, over time, his skills advanced and he began battling in his neighborhood well on into his high school years.

His nickname was “Los”, that’s short for his name, Carlos. But, that name quickly changed to “Los Vegas” because he was the youngest kid in cyphers with young adults and he still managed to steal the spotlight each time! Of course, with increased popularity and his advanced delivery and wordplay, the older guys in the neighborhood never wanted to invite him go to their studio.

He shares: “I can still remember hearing them playing their music down the street and me saying to myself, “I’m way better than them. Fast forward to now, I’ve recorded two critically acclaimed projects, have music streaming online and the radio. I also have a well-established company that provides management and opportunities for rising artists both locally and beyond!”

Name of His Current Album Entitled:

SOON

The inspiration for this album started with these reflections: “In life, people work hard to achieve the ultimate goal of success; however, some are never 100% confident that they will succeed. In 2019, I believed that the work I have put in throughout the years was starting to be recognized and respected, and the music I was creating at the time was reinventing... So, he collaborated with a few NC greats and made classics with them all. The sound of the music amplified success and it felt like a victory lap so he called it “SOON.”

He's participated in several performance that his company has thrown. But, his most memorable show was his companys’ first event at Pinhook in downtown Durham, NC. A concert series called “The Pinnacle” was created to showcase Durham’s top Artists of multiple genres. The highlight of the event: They packed the venue on a Thursday night for their FIRST EVENT!

FUTURE OF THE MUSIC

In accomplishing his music goals he holds a “Phenomenal roster of Artists within Family Bizness: Mally Evana, Ethan Taylor, Blessed Wins and Kronoz Time. But with his most recent album he collaborated with Artists such as: Swife, Shame, Jooselor, Chyna Vonne, Fess, 3am, Quentin Rashad, Tiyane Clarke and that’s just to name a few.

As most are aware with any levels of success there will be certain challenges as LVITTO reflects with sincerity:

"I’m a genuine straightforward person; however, in this industry, not everyone is in it for your best interest. I had to recognize that fact and learn to navigate around the vultures of the industry."

The music that he’s creating now speaks to his current position mentally, spiritually, and as an Intelligent Black Man in America. He goes on to share that “the music he is currently working on is some of the best he has ever created.  The LIGHTS, CAMERAS, and some incredible visuals will be coming out very soon! Also, he plans on reaching out to the youth so that they can grow with music. He hopes to guide them in a direction of entrepreneurship and ownership!

ICONIC BOND: We Here Now (And More)

Welcomes with the Greatest Appreciation

Iconic Bond

https://www.theiconicbond.com/

Originally from Cairo, Egypt

Raised in the states since he was 4

He moved around a lot but finally made his way to NC. He lived in Winston-Salem and went to school at WSSU. Then after college he moved to Raleigh, NC.

He’s done 7 shows since he started. He’s headlined 3 of them.

His most memorable stage performance and best show would be his very 1st headliner show.

Iconic energy and stamina allow him to electrify at performances. He considers himself an MC because he can move a crowd and vibe with them when he’s on and off stage. But he is also a lyricist because he takes time to think about what he’s writing. He’s always loved wordplay so it’s something he’s constantly working on to perfect.

He is currently in the works to kick off an amazing first album which could be out before the year ends! The album will be kind of like his origin story. How so? Well it would be a collaboration project with his best friend Badlogic who produced the whole thing; exciting!

He goes on to share “Me and him started on this music journey together,” “Literally one day he said “bro, I’m buying FL Studio” and I immediately went and bought a mic and created a little in-home studio and we began making music”" So this album is the compilation of the best songs they made together since they started.

He shares with a sarcastic smile: “Is there any other way to create music? I write everything I put out there. I think if you don’t write it, then what’s the point…”

As far as collaborations with other artists, he’s had one that has been made public so far (more to come soon…) and it was a song he featured on called Revolution that dropped earlier this year with the amazingly talented: Queen Sanaa.

The best advice he’s received: From his Manger before he went on stage for the first time was: “The stage is a boxing ring, when you step on that stage, your goal is knock them out”. The meaning behind this is basically to leave your heart and soul on that stage. You have to give it everything you got and perform the music with the same energy that helped you create it!

Iconic Bond continues in a gentle sentiment: “he also told me to stop trying to do everything alone. I love having control of everything I do so it was very hard for me to let go of certain things and allow other people to help me on my journey. It took me a while to get used it, but I finally got there.”

Music is the gateway to all types of possibilities. He’s have been writing ever since he was high school. He’s always had a love for poetry and music. Since originally coming from Egypt, the music scene is huge and it’s all very poetic and deep in meaning.

Hip-hop to him has constantly been the ultimate form of music if used correctly. It can change entire generations and it already has. On top of that, his favorite Artists are all amazing poets when it comes down to it. So that’s what inspired him to write.

The start was just the beginning but then he went to the next step in creating actual music with his youth group. He worked closely with a group of young brothers in the community. Then seeing them go from middle school to graduating college, he was able to see the impact that hip-hop had on them. Now in his opinion, he didn’t like the negative energy that it instilled in them and that is primarily due to what the current top Music being played was. See, he grew up listening to a whole different type of hip-hop so when he saw that, he felt the need to fill that void. On top of that, he was able to show them that they could also create music when they saw him do it.

His current favorite track written is one called: “Floating;” that song is on his first mix-tape entitled: The Breakthrough. Now, that track holds a special place in his heart because he was sitting up one night listening to this beat and instantly he was inspired to create a track about writing and creating a song. So he ended up literally spending the whole night until the sun came back up and wrote the thoughts that were going through his mind while creating it. When he was finished, it was the best feeling ever.

Each Artist can find inspiration and have a desire to work with a well-known Celebrity Artist in the music industry. The Artist that Iconic Bond would choose to work with if he could pick one would be: J Cole. He shares that J. Cole’s energy and ability to switch emotions track to track is amazing to him. On top of that, he thinks their music is similar in a way.

Why does his audience consider Iconic Bond different? Well because In the hip-hop game, he stands out because he is Egyptian (lol) and he’s cleaner in his lyrics than most rappers. Also, his music is easily adaptable to any person regardless of their background. He makes music that many types of people can enjoy, no matter what their race, ethnicity or beliefs are on the daily. He talks about life as it is, not as he wants it to be or as other people want it to be. He shares about real life situations from his eyes.

The future of his music is exciting. He is currently working on this collaboration album with his bestfriend: badlogic. He’s got another one already in the works, almost done with some amazing artists and producers. He’s hopeful that when the world opens back up he will begin touring a little bit outside of the local scene to spread his name around a bit.

His latest music video is called: We Here Now (https://youtu.be/6ViDSonmrgo).  He’s just ironing out some of his upcoming projects getting them ready for release. Also, he’s working on storyboards for the next couple singles so he can begin shooting the music videos.

Founder, Owner, CEO and Artist: JAE Black

JAE Black is from Asheboro, NC. He reigns as the Founder, Owner and CEO and Artist on his independent Label “Illcapone Records LLC.”

Popular Artist mostly likely to perform with if he could: Drake.

Best Advice Given

From his friend of 15 years Emery. They were hanging out a JAE's house back during the high school days making a beat and structuring a song for their rap group at the time which was called “yung gin.” Emery looks at him and says “yo dog out of everybody i know in my life and out if everybody in the group you got it! you’re going to make it! never stop this music thing till GOD allows you to go no further”  He's had people tell him that since that day but there was something about that moment that made him believe it!

Being able to be diverse in the game is critical that's why Jae Black believes that he is both an MC and Lyricst. Why? He makes great music as an Artist and from a technicians’ stand point he paints pictures out of real life that people can relate to.

New Album: “The Penalty of Leadership”
Drops on JUNE 9th 2019! On all music platforms

To create this album he was inspired by things that he went through between now and in the last few months. He experienced a wave of hate, betrayal, jealousy, greed, and even the doubt from loved ones because they couldn’t understand his goals. The Penalty of Leadership is for those individuals who do things out the norm which scare people into only following.  It doesn’t bother him to step out of the norm and he doesn’t think it should bother anyone either; be great no matter who’s against it! The reason for the release date is due to his great grandmothers’ birthday. Her passing has given him a focus and drive like he’s never had before.

Where it all started...

His mom dated this guy named: Al Luck for 4 years and when JAE BLACK was in 5th grade Al Luck and his son moved in with Jae and his mom. Marquese and Jae became like brothers and are still like brothers till this day! They looped music from the wrestling video game they got for N64 and recorded it off a tape recorder.  He had the tape recorder from the Home Alone movie and they would play the beat back off a radio while they rapped over it lol

Then they got to a point where they took two plastic sticks from toy golf clubs, a couple empty soda bottles and other objects to create beats. Marquese would do the drums and JAE was the MC! It's funny for Jae Black to think about now but that's where his love for music began.
JAE Black has written his own music since he was 10 years and has yet to collaborate with anyone but in the future it could be a possibility. YET, as he ventures through new levels with his music he finds that he enjoys the creativity behind each of his songs more and more. He doesn't have a favorite song but the song that he is most proud of would be: Trust Issues” which is off his upcoming album. He's proud of that song because he took a risk and tried something new. So, listen to it and you will know why lol
His most memorable performance was when he performed a track in downtown Greensboro in 2015.  A guy in the music industry visiting NC got handed his music and liked what he heard. He invited Jae to NY to perform at a music festival called “The Gathering." It was his first and only experience. In his first song he fumbled and messed up the lyrics so bad that he just went straight to the next song and from that day forward he always told himself to be prepared. But shortly after that he took a 3 year break because of life. Yet, now his focus and drive he has now is much different!

NEXT STEPS. FOR THE FUTURE

“The Penalty Of Leadership” dropped on JUNE 9th! He is  currently creating dope music videos from the album and then it's get back to the studio to work on another project. He has tracks for another project that he is working on but right now he's focused on promoting “The Penalty Of Leadership” and putting more momentum behind the project.

Artist of the People: ImTheFatboy

He is the:
 Artist of the People
Independent Hip-Hopper, from Greensboro, NC (North Side, Summit & Cone) known for his Black and white sketch Art, glasses enthusiast and proud dad: ImTheFatboy.” He’s an Artist, a Creative at heart, and an introvert who spent a lot of time in the RDU area yet busted out of his shell early on all for the love of music!

Well Known Artists That Inspired "ImTheFatboy"

  • The Notorious B.I.G: "He was "black and ugly as ever and still had it all. He didn't have suave' like Heavy D or muscles like Treach. He was dark skin, fat, and cock-eyed yet gave a mountain of hope to a young heavyset kid in North Carolina."

  • Eminem: "...he lived, breathed, and ate rap music! Despite things like a rough childhood, homelessness, and/or not always knowing how he was going to feed his child he still went all in for rap wherever he could."

Weird Al: "...he taught me a lot about individuality in music. Doing your own thing, carving your own lane and being your own strange, quirky, genuine self despite what the critics may object to."

IF he could perform with any popular Artist in the industry today he would chose:

  • J. Cole, or Da Baby for the love of Carolina Culture.
  • Weird Al or Eminem so he can make an attempt to not geek by meeting one of his faves
  • Lastly he’d make some classic music in the process with Big K.R.I.T, Juvenile, Timbaland, and Future.

Best Advice
A lot of the advice he received when he first started was simply "go hard" and it was always so vague. So to expand on that for his readers he adds: “put on the blinders, put your head down, and work. You are your own best friend and your own worst enemy. Don't worry about what the next Artist is doing, or what the DJs and radio may want. Focus on the people that enjoy your craft for what it is.

He continues with “Two genuine supporters is better than a thousand randoms who won't give you the time of day. Start small, use what you've got, and build. It takes time and effort, but it's totally doable. And this isn't just for music but for any venture that you may be interested in!”

(Doesn't Get Much More Honest Than That!)

He’s considers himself to a little bit of an MC and a Lyricist. The meaning of the title MC hits differently for some but for this Artist he describes it as: “MC still has that old school meaning of "Master of Ceremonies" or "Move the Crowd" and when he performs he likes to think he gets the crowd involved and keeps the atmosphere pumping! But then he reflects on what the meaning of being a Lyricist is to him: “As far as a lyricist goes that's all about pen, substance, subject matter, variety..." He can tell a story, or make people dance, or set a romantic tone and the vocabulary he chooses to place over a well-crafted beat plays a major role in how people receive his songs.

In 2010 he decided to start getting on stages, networking, and taking things more seriously as an Artist. Then between the years of 2010-2011 he performed at least a hundred times throughout NC. After that he lost count. But it's been a lot and now he’s putting his own concerts and showcases together.

He does “pen” all of his own music. He’s been writing for over 20 years and he’s been told he’s gotten pretty good at it. On his up and coming album "Falcon Heavy" he shares his experience working with: The V and  Juhara, two singers with incredible style and range.

One is VA singer The V (aka Von Sinatra) on his song "Taste" which is a more mellow, Golden Era Hip Hop kind of song about enjoying the finer things in life. The other singer he worked with is Juhara out of Ohio, who absolutely aced his song "I Love It" and really set the tone. It's a smooth track about how when people in a relationship are chasing goals they often may not have much free time to just enjoy the company of their partner. But also it shares how wonderful the experience a couple can have together once they do make the time for one another.

His music changes lives daily but three of his songs that really stand out first are: "Pipe Dream", "Cry for Attention", or "Weight" because they were written during a tough time. He shares with deep reflection how he was homeless, struggling and how the notebook became his journal of expression, so those songs are powerful.

Yet, his most well received song is titled: "Sumo" which helped him line up many of the  opportunities and connections he still utilizes currently. He’s received great feedback from the song, and had an awesome video attached that did around 1.5k views. Even more when he incorporated the song into his performance (complete with a fitting and surprising collapse at the end lol) it was an over the top track for him. The song "Sumo" received a lot of love the summer of 2012 and 2013!

His most memorable stage performance to this day is still the night he performed at the Bull City Music Awards at the prestigious and well known Carolina Theatre in Downtown Durham. There was a packed house full of people more than ready to cheer on their favorite Indies, opportunity to network with some heavy hitters in NC (a couple 102 Jamz/K97.5 hosts and DJs were there, and even the local news pulled up to cover the awards show.

Debra Morgan from WRAL News attended the event, pulled him to the side to tell him how much she enjoyed his performance and she took a picture with him! He opened for Chubb Rock and received the first reward of the night! All in all it was the most incredible night he’s had musically!

He is in constant creative mode so, his upcoming current album "Falcon Heavy" is his current passion project! It was inspired by Elon Musk and Space X's launch of the "Falcon Heavy 9" rocket which was heralded as the first space launch by an independent company. In his opinion it signified creating “your own lane and going against the grain.” He's also hoping to inspire newer artists to do their own thing rather than what they think others may or may not like.

The Journey For Success Continues...
He is currently learning marketing, networking, fan building, content creation, and event planning/promotion. As a creative he gets stuck in the cycle of creation. He makes something crafty and artful then puts it out. But in the music industry there's a lot more to it than that so he's learning more about his demographic from a human perspective, expanding on his connections, and of course putting together his own showcases and concerts. He has aspirations of possibly taking a more behind the scenes role (artist development or something similar) rather than trying to stay in the spotlight. But right now he's enjoying the ride!

He's very focused right now on several projects as he's polishing his upcoming 6 track EP "Falcon Heavy" and pushing his single "The Biggest Loser." He's working on his first concert "Live 95" (4/19/19 321 Fonville St. Burlington. Tickets on Eventbrite) as well as another in Durham which is be added later. He's also putting together a merchandise line as well as his website and preparing for a couple performances in South Florida at the end of March.
